Q: I try to zoom in a picture on Instagram, but it doesn’t work properly. It enlarges the picture briefly but then returns to its original size. What I can do?
A: Is the same as manually performing the zoom gesture: you need to pinch and hold the gesture to zoom on the photo. As far as we know, this behavior cannot be modified. This, in addition, to annoy some users, introduces an accessibility barrier for other people. The only alternative solution we have found is to use the web version of Instagram.
Q: I experience certain strange behaviors that may include:
- The application worked for me the first time, then I closed it and I can’t use it again, even reinstalling.
- The app stops working or restarts suddenly without prior notice.
- Enabling the accessibility service has no effect.
A: It seems some manufacturers try to provide their own “smart energy-saving” techniques which are actually pretty dumb and end up killing some apps just for the sake of power-saving. Many popular brands are affected by this problem including Samsung, Xiaomi, and Huawei, among others.
In general, there are some workarounds to sort this out. Unfortunately, these are specific for each brand, even for some specific versions and thus it is impossible for us to provide generic instructions 🙁

Q: I receive the message “Because an app is obscuring a permission request, Settings can’t verify your response” when trying to enable the accessibility service.
A: This is due to other apps having the “Draw over other apps” permission granted. Try the following:
In “Settings > Apps > Configure apps (Gear Icon) > Special access > Draw over other apps”, disable the permission one by one for all other apps to see which one creates the conflict.
Q: I get the message “Your device canceled the gesture due to motion detected” and some gestures are not properly performed. What can I do?
A: Prior to Android 10 (Q), this happens if you move the mouse while Ease Mouse is executing a gesture (this is most noticeable for long-duration gestures such as scroll and pinch). Therefore, you should keep your mouse completely still until the gesture finishes.

Q: How do I pause it?
A: Enable the “Rest mode” in the “Actions menu” or make click on the camera viewer.
Q: EVA crashes when I visit some webpages with Google Chrome.
A: Some users linked this issue with granting camera permissions to Google Chrome. Try disabling the camera permission. Go to “Settings > Applications > Chrome > Permissions > Camera > Deny”.
Q: Do I need Internet connection to use Ease Touch, Ease Mouse or Ease Joypad?
A: In general, no. You need Internet access to complete the purchase process. Once the purchase is validated, you can go temporarily off-line and even reboot your device without interfering with your subscription. For life-time licenses, once validated, no further Internet connection is needed. It is also advised to keep the Play Store app up to date.
Q: Will I lose the license if I uninstall the app or if I upgrade to a new device?
A: No. The license is tied to your Google account. Therefore, it will continue working after a reinstall or device upgrade provided that you continue using the same Google account.
